(AWRS) Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme
From the 1st April 2017 all businesses that trade in, or retail alcohol will need to make sure that any wholesaler they purchase from has a registered AWRS number.
Abbey Ales Ltd has now been approved by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and a unique AWRS number has been allocated to us, as a business fit and proper to legitimately trade in the alcohol sector.
Our approved AWRS registered number is XCAW 000 0010 4065, this allocated number will be printed on both delivery notes/ invoices. HMRC will provide an online look-up database of approved traders for buyers to use. Using the database to check the validity of wholesalers will form part of the buyers due diligence processes.
We would just like to thank you all for your support for our family brewery and long may it continue.
Yours Sincerely
Alan, Simon and Susan Morgan
